Sintecor S.A. began manufacturing and distributing Expandable Synthetic Corks in the year 1985.  Five years later, thanks to permanent efforts to constantly improve its products, it supplied 80% of the local market. The experience in the local market, which was a very demanding test market, allowed it to successfully go into international markets.

The Sintecor Expandable Synthetic corks are manufactured in Uruguay, using high quality thermoplastic as the raw material.   Sintecor products are certified by the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU - Laboratorio Tecnológico del Uruguay), in accordance to F.D.A. norms, endorsing their fitness to be used with alcoholic beverages.

Their quality never varies.
They permit a better seal with standard machines.
They increase productivity and quality, due to their uniform size and compression
They are easy to remove, they neither break nor crumble.
They are delivered in sealed bags, needing neither washing nor any other treatment.
They assure a perfect seal, avoiding leakage, evaporation or changes in flavor.
They are sterile and do not release particles when used
They allow alcoholic beverages to be stored vertically.
They act as barriers to oxygen, avoiding possible changes of flavor and aroma.
The imprint of the drink’s brand name is better, due to the smooth surface.
The worldwide tendency is towards the use of synthetic corks.

Our commitment is the constant improvement in the quality of our manufactured products, and to the attention we give to all those who use them.  Sustained technological innovations are essential to accompany the evolution of our clients’ requirements, and to allow us to satisfy their needs, promptly and efficiently.
